The class moves at the speed of the person who is typing, not at the speed of the tool. Groups are capped at eight so a tutor can sit with you for the clicks that feel new. We enlarge the type, repeat the sequence aloud and stop at one recipe if that is enough for the day. People who have never opened a chat assistant are the usual starting point, not an exception. If a sitting still feels rushed, say so in the first ten minutes and we will cut the task.

No. A tablet is enough for Everyday Essentials, photos and scam checks. A large-screen phone is enough for short messages and the Money-Safety programme. A laptop is kinder for long letters and spreadsheets because the keys and the screen are larger. Tell us what you own when you write so we can plan the seat and the font size. We teach on your device, so the one you already use is the right one to bring.

No. You create the account with your own e-mail while we sit beside you. We write every click, including how to recover the password, on the recipe card. The login then belongs to you at home, on the same device. If we created it for you, you would be stuck the first time a code arrived on a phone we do not hold. We can read the screen with you. We do not take the phone away to “just finish it”.

You should not type an NRIC, a bank phrase, a one-time password or another person’s medical notes into a tool. We teach you to replace those lines with labels before you send a prompt. Official forms that truly need an identity number are filled on the organisation’s own site, by your hands, after you have read the address bar. A class draft never needs those numbers. If you pasted something private by mistake, we stop and delete the draft on the spot.

It can draft wording from the facts you supply. It cannot decide whether you have a case, and it will invent a clause if you do not paste the one you have. In class we produce a one-page letter, then you check every date and every quoted line against your papers. We do not send the letter for you and we do not give legal advice. The Results Wall shows the three-draft sequence we timed on a demo claim, not a promise about your own appeal.

Many chat assistants open in the phone’s browser. If the browser still receives updates, a short lesson will usually run. Photo organisers and voice tools are less forgiving on very old systems. Bring the phone to the free 15-minute conversation or to the first session and we will try the exact screen you have. If it cannot keep up, we will say so and suggest a tablet for that programme rather than forcing the phone.

Classes run in English. If a term on the screen is unclear, we will write the everyday word in Mandarin or Malay on a slip so you can follow the click. The tools themselves are used in English because that is how most of the products still behave. We do not run a full Mandarin or Malay programme at present. If you need every spoken sentence in another language, say so before you book and we will tell you honestly whether the group will work for you.

That is why we write the recipe before you leave and why you repeat the steps once, unaided, in the same sitting. You also have three months in which you may sit the same lesson again at no extra fee if a seat is free. The monthly refresher clinic is there for a card that slipped at home. Forgetting the menu is common. Losing the card is what we try to prevent.

Yes, if you both have a seat in the same group and each person pays the programme fee. The room is capped at eight, so two people use two seats. Sharing one laptop between two people slows both of you, so each person should bring a device. If you want one person to watch and not type, that still uses a seat. Write to us and we will say whether the next group has two places together.

No. We do not record video, audio or the screen. You may photograph your own recipe card. You may not record other learners or the tutor. One-to-one video clinics are live only; we do not keep a copy of the call. If a building camera covers the corridor, that is the landlord’s system, not a class recording.

The core lessons use free tiers: a general chat assistant, a document reader and the photo tools already on many phones. Paid plans buy higher limits or extra voices. They are optional and you buy them from the vendor if you later want them. We take no commission. Class fees pay for taught time in the room, not for a software bundle.

We can help you write a price list, a short notice, a translation you then check, and a printable page. We do not run paid advertisements, take over your shop account or promise sales. The Small Business Helper programme is five sessions on work you already do by hand. If you need platform advertising, you will need someone else for that part.

Write or call at least 24 hours before the session and we will move your seat. Later than that, the session is used. If we cancel, we offer the next seat or a refund for that sitting. There is no subscription to unwind. The same rule is written on the programmes page and in the terms.

Work After 45 is four sessions on your own CV, twelve spoken interview answers and a LinkedIn summary you can defend. We do not apply on your behalf, contact employers or guarantee a role. We do cut the three-page history to versions a person can read in two minutes. Bring the job ad you care about and the dates you can stand by.
