The notice bar

When you close the bar at the bottom of the page, the browser keeps a single preference named ag_cookie_ok in local storage. That value is only “1”. It tells the page not to show the bar again on this device. It is not used to recognise you on another site.

You can delete it in the browser’s site data settings. The bar will appear again the next time you open a page. The site works the same whether the bar is open or closed.

Fonts

Pages load Epilogue and Spectral from Google Fonts through one stylesheet. Your browser requests that file from Google’s servers. Google may see the address of the page and a usual set of technical headers. We do not send them your contact form.

If you block third-party fonts, the page still reads in the device’s default serif and sans-serif faces. Layout stays usable.

The map on the contact page

The contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. Loading that frame is a request to OpenStreetMap’s servers. If you do not want that request, do not open the contact page, or block frames in the browser. The address is also written in plain text on every page footer.

What we do not set

We do not set advertising cookies, social-network pixels or analytics packages that follow you to other sites. We do not drop a cookie to measure “engagement”. If that changes, this page will change on the same day and the date at the top will move.
